Daniel Duran
Can dreams come true? For Daniel Duran they sure did. It has been one dream come true after another. One of Daniel's pet peeves is “a person who says they can't make it”. He believes with God, all things are possible.

Daniel is the youngest of his siblings, Cynthia and Priscilla, and also of his twin brother David Duran Jr. by only a mere four minutes. At the young age of seven years old Daniel was baptized and was filled with the Holy Spirit where a great start to his life begins. By the age of ten, he was already collecting records and tapes of David Huff after hearing him play in concert live at Richardson, Texas. It was at thirteen years of age that Daniel began an interest in bass playing and has played ever since. So long has he played the bass that he says he feels “awkward” without it. “I've worshiped behind the bass almost all my life that it feels like second nature. It is like someone who has to worship with a tambourine” he says. Then at fourteen years he began his leadership responsibility as Sunday school teacher.

After moving to Arlington, Texas from San Isidro, Texas, Daniel's life revolved much around his home church, “Casa de Oración Family Center” that was founded by his father David Duran Sr. There his sister Cynthia Piazza opened an A.C.E school, “Duran Academy”, from which Daniel proudly graduated from in 1996 and later returned to be the principle for two years. He attended Texas Bible College for the next 3 ½ years and graduated on the Presidents List. Daniel evangelized while in TBC and was the Presbyter of the Minister's Association. Thereafter he helped the Texas District Spanish Ministries as Sunday school director and then Music director. Back at his home church he assisted as Children's Pastor, Youth Pastor and then Co-Pastor. Today Daniel is the coordinator of Global Impact for the Texas District Spanish Ministries and Pastor's the church that his father founded, “Casa de Oración Family Center”, together with his encouraging wife, Jessica Duran, and two sons, Dylan and Andrew Duran.

Daniel is grateful for Brother Gerald McGaha, Brother Danny Russo, Brother Armando Navarro and Brother Samuel Leal whose leadership and advice brought him out of tough times. Also those who have made an impact on Daniel’s life are Brother Ken Gurley and Brother Daniel Schrekhise. As far as his hero, it is only his father, Bishop David Duran, because he has seen him “being a soldier for Christ; literally.” To this, Daniel's favorite scripture is found in Proverbs 23:23 which says “Buy the truth, and sell it not;”

God makes all things possible and that is especially true in Daniel's life. In December 2007, Daniel Duran finally met with David Huff and in November 2008 Daniel had the honor of hosting Brother David Huff in concert live at his own church “Casa de Oración Family Center.”

In this new album from “His Cadence”, Daniel Duran plays his bass and has written the melodies to most of the songs. Through his hard work and persistence, he is one man that never gives up and has made his father, mother and church proud.
